It has been a while since I last posted on the Hong Sing website as I have posting updates via our blog and FaceBook. Guess what? We have reached our 500 fans goal, our lucky fan is Charlotte Nutman. She has won £10 worth of meals from us. As I have no permission to send a message to her via FaceBook, hopefully she'll call and place her order and I'll let her know about the prize.

As you may have noticed we now do home deliveries, we can do deliveries up to 5 miles in radius; 7 miles can, but it is limited slot. You have to discuss with us before placing your order. We charge each delivery £1.50 within 3 mile radius and £1 for every additional mile, not bad isn't it? Home deliveries available everyday except Tuesdays from 5pm til 10pm. As we're doing home deliveries every customer will be assigned to a special delivery ID number, which stores their personal details on our database. Don't worry your data is 100% secure with us, we do not disclose them without your permission. Need a delivery ID? Drop a SMS message along with your full name, address, post code, and telephone to 07545851037. Then you will receive an unique ID number, if you keep sending SPAM messages to this number. Your number will be barred. *Please note that we do not accept messages coming from online services, it has to be your mobile phone.

We also deliver many leaflets in many areas such as Redruth, Pool, Illogan, Lanner, Tolvaddon etc. We have just received another batch of them, and next week you should receive our latest leaflet mentioning about our 6 day home delivery.

For people who have Internet, or having issues calling via phone. You can use our online order system, just browse around the menu, add to cart, once done. Go to your cart, register an account, checkout, choose payment method, confirm order. And that's it. Once we got the confirmation of your order we will start process it and you should receive it within 15-20 minutes. This system is only available from Monday to Friday 5pm-10pm. You can opt to pay by cash on delivery or credit cards. Most dishes you see on the Internet are not available in the takeaway, those are special for online users.

It has been a tremendous month for us, we released a brand new dessert onto our menu and that is Chocolate Fritters. You choose your favourite chocolate bar Snickers, Toffee Crisps and Twix and we fry them up using batter or pastry. We had many customers ordering them last week; it seems that Snickers is the best out of those 3. We will be changing chocolate bars around every 3-4 weeks, if you missed your favourite chocolate bar. Don’t worry; just let us know via email or facebook what chocolate you want to try.

We have been giving out fortune rolls over the past few days, already used up a case of them. We give at least 1 per order maximum 5, depends the amount of meals you order with us. They are yummy and delicious, once you had one you want another.

Many events have been happening in the last 4 weeks, we had Murdoch Day which happened last Saturday and the world cup has been going on. So far we all know England has gone through to the Last 16 Teams hopefully they will beat Germany so they can get into the Quarter-Finals.

We haven't release as much dishes for this month, will be adding more very soon. Our menu selection has over 275 dishes, with 5 different tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, spicy (although nothing is bitter on our dish nor salty, depends what dish you order). 

We did add XO Chow Mein, Fried Rice and Rice Noodles on our menu, many of customers love our XO Chow Mein. The popular dish for this month, I wonder what's popular for the month of July.

We have been holding many contests over the past 2 weeks, fans on Facebook had to guess the England's score on every game. The winner will get a prize such as a free meal, dish, discount etc. In the next couple of weeks we will be holding a contest whoever going to be our 250th fan, 500th, 750th, 1000th and so on. Figures are not 100% correct, this may change at any time. Information will be updated via Facebook Page.

Sign up on our forum today, post topics, meet friends, share recipes, do whatever you want in there. Refer family and friends to receive a free dish. If you get a nice amount of topics or posts you are eligible to receive a dish or even a free meal. Meal can worth up to £20. (This will be selected by the forum administrator, terms and conditions applied. Management reserves the right to amend this at any time without any prior notice.)

We're so happy that we have 140 members in our facebook group and the number doesn't end, it keeps counting until it stops. If you don't know already we are trying to get 250 members by the end of August 2010 and 500 before December 31st 2010. Once we receive these 2 goals on time we will start giving out freebies. I know everyone love freebies especially giving out free meals. Come on, start inviting your friends and families to Hong Sing. Get them to join our group, talk, and discuss about Hong Sing.

Hong Sing has been giving out discount vouchers and many freebies such as free dishes, mini veg spring rolls, prawn crackers (even the order is over £5). Do you want to get something for free? Post a feedback on Facebook and once approved, you're eglible to receive a freebie from us. Freebies can be a variety of dishes, we decide what to give you.

Wow! This is amazing. When I first created the facebook group around in December the group had like 4-5 members, then 16 members in January and now 127 members. We are so happy to see our fans joining our facebook group. If you know your friends or relatives haven't been to Hong Sing before, you should tell them to try Hong Sing. You may get some freebies from us. We hope to receive at least 250 members by the end of August 2010 and 500 members by December 2010. It's gonna take a while for people to join up.

Do you know that our Sweet and Sour Sauce does not contain any gluten? Then what do we use to thicken the sauce? Well we use potato starch to make our sauces just to let you know. As I know many of our customers do not like the taste or have problems eating with gluten in it. Don't worry our dishes are gluten free unless mentioned.

We will let you know which dish has wheat gluten on our menu.
